A lot of today was highway heading south from Charleston, but after we left Jacksonville we jumped on to the A1A thinking we would be right along the water....however most of it was either houses or banks of vegetation so ...even though we were a stones throw away this is all we saw for a ways...

Finally...a view of the water - not the ocean but an estuary as we crossed the bridge into St. Augustine.

After checking into a hotel we took the luggage off the bike and went into
Old St. Augustine

All the following pics are from the walking tour...we probably walked around town for a couple of hours. And mostly it was a very pleasant day...we rolled into town around 1:00 and most of the ride had not been over the mid 80's...A great improvement after hitting 90's by 11:00 most prior days. The above is a sign next to an old cemetary

Has to take this one as Doris is a teacher

Hey Danielle...look what we found!!!

Pics of old buildings - houses etc. If they weren't built before 1750, we pretty much weren't taking pictures

The end of a Wall from the early 1700's, which used Oyster Shells as a concrete like substance..called a Tabby Wall

Pic below of the oldest part of the house

Jeff standing on the seawall originally built in the 1700's

Today's route broken into 2 parts.
That's all for today, more pics for you all to look at in any case.
